Life with babies
November 21, 2005

The home care has now ended and we have been transferred to normal baby care visits at the local baby care center. The feeding tubes have also been removed, so the babies now look like normal babies, although still a bit small and of course cuter than most! ;-)

They are growing well and yesterday's measurement gave the following:

  Weight Length
Ella 2160 g
Gabriel 2910 g 49 cm

Due to the von Rosen-skena Ella has we can not measure her lenght. We have also done a hearing test and it was all okay. Gabriel is getting rounder all over and Ella has gotten round and fluffy cheeks, but still has old woman's legs to some extent.

Our life goes between feeding and feeding and sometimes I manage to get out of the apartment to do some shopping. Anders buys the groceries and for later I have found a webshop that delivers, which will be well needed. We have been trying to get out and do some activities, but we really don't have much time, since we need to match the next feeding and feeding one outside is easy, but feeding two at the same time becomes more of a project and is not really something we want to try doing in a coffee shop or elsewhere. Due to this years flue of the RS-virus we also try to avoid public places with a lot of people and small children.

We have bought a carrying shawl of approximately 5 meters, in which I can carry both babies at the same time. It will definitely come in handy when Anders has gone back to Shanghai. Apart from that I am curious on how I will manage connecting baby number two for feeding when I am alone. Today is however my practise day, because Anders is at the boat fair, so I will just have to find a solution.
