Colonial life?

Today I smiled to Gabriel and he smiled back and then Ella smiled at Gabriel, in answer to his smile to me! Later they both smiled at each other and Gabriel spoke to Ella, Ella did not bother answering though. Seams as they are finally starting to notice each other! Today we had a checkup at the doctor's. Measurements are:

  Weight Length
Ella 4.8 kg 58 cm
Gabriel 6.6 kg 63 cm

End of last week we had a visit by Mikael Toss. We went to the old city of Shanghai, which was crowded with people. It was just incredible. When we got out of the car approximately 20 persons sourrounded us looking at the babies. Chinese people are very interested in babies and especially twins. I guess it has to do with the fact that they only have one child themselves. The same goes for children, they are also very interested in babies and that is probably because they don't have any siblings. Anyhow, it can become rather frustrating when they have a totally different view on what is okay to do. At IKEA the other day total strangers reached out to touch Ella's hand and foot. A bit different than how we would do at home.

We have gotten a new ayi, she is Philippino and called Nilda. I am very happy with her. I had to fire the other one we had though, but she was only working two days a week, so she did not seam very upset about it. Nilda works Monday to Friday and she helps me with the children, plus does cooking and cleaning. I am getting sooo spoiled!! It is actually great to have her since it really helps me with the things I need to do, which are difficult to do on my own. I bring her along and we can take one baby each. Very practical.

Apart from that we have also gotten a car with a driver and he is also nice. We are getting another car though, because with the one we have now we can fit the twins, the twin stroller and me, but Anders will have to take a taxi.
